FAQs

Our frequently asked questions answered...

Can I build my own hamper?

Not right now, but you will be able to soon! Sign up for our emails to be kept in the loop.

If you can’t wait then why not contact us telling us the exact products (from our website) you would like and we can provide you with a bespoke quote. The final invoice must be paid prior to shipping.

Please note the items need to fit into an existing hamper box which may limit the inclusion of several large items.

Why is there not a hamper for both parents?

This is really important to us as this journey can be equally as challenging for both parents. We have couples hampers in design but need to have even larger (just as beautiful) gift boxes made, which is a big investment for us! These are, therefore, the next phase for Early Daze and we hope to have live within the next year.

Sign up for our emails and we'll keep you posted.

Can I send a gift card?

Not yet but we hope to have gift cards live very soon! Sign up for our emails and we'll keep you updated.

Can I have the hamper sent directly to the recipient?

Absolutely. The hamper box comes in a recyclable mailing box to protect the gift box and we can send it to you or straight to the recipient with a handwritten note. We currently only post within the UK.

Can I have the hamper sent to me, rather than the recipient?

Absolutely. If the postage and billing addresses are the same then we’ll include a blank gift card for you to write your own message. The hamper box comes in a recyclable mailing box to protect the gift box. We currently only post within the UK.

What courier do you use?

We are currently using DPD and we ask them to knock before leaving the parcel in the safe place (when possible). That ensures it arrives quickly (generally within 24 hours of shipping) and should avoid disturbing parents if they are having some much-needed rest.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is included in the cost of the hamper. We think this makes it more transparent and easier if you’re contributing to it as a group of friends / colleagues.

Can I reschedule a delivery?

We would always recommend waiting until parents and baby/babies are safely home before ordering.

As the buyer you will receive an email directly from our courier which will give you access to change/reschedule the delivery. The courier will automatically make two attempts to deliver your order, usually on consecutive days, before returning the parcel to us.

In most cases, the courier will leave a contact number so the recipient can get in touch directly to reschedule delivery. If you need help please contact us at hello@earlydazehampers.co.uk

Can I add my own items?

We can arrange to post the hamper to you to pass onto the recipient personally. The magnetic close hamper box comes in a recyclable mailing box so you can just remove the gift box and add items. However, if you’re ordering one of our larger item hampers there will be limited space. At checkout, put your address for delivery and billing and we’ll include a blank gift card for you to write your own personal message too.

Unfortunately we cannot accept deliveries for us to add items at this stage.

I have ideas for other items you don’t seem to have in your hampers. How can I share this with you?

YAY! We’re always desperate to learn about items that could benefit new parents and would love to hear your ideas. Email hello@earlydazehampers.co.uk or complete our contact us form and we’ll add it to our ideas pot!

Can I include a message for the recipient?

Absolutely. All our hampers come with a handwritten gift card. You’ll be asked to provide your message at checkout. If you request to have the hamper sent to you, we’ll include a blank gift card so you can write your own message.

What if there’s a faulty item?

We will absolutely swap this for the recipient as long as it’s within 6 months of receipt and under the terms of our refund policy. They can email hello@earlydazehampers.co.uk, send us photos and a description of the faulty item and we’ll replace it ASAP. If we can't, we will happily swap it for an alternative item of equal value or refund you for the cost of the item.

What’s “Postpartum”?

You might have heard of “post-natal”. That’s the period of time after the birth and generally refers to the care and well-being of the baby/babies. Postpartum is the journey a new parent goes through while (potentially) healing from birth and caring for a newborn. We’re trying to make it part of the conversation as the internet will tell you recovery takes 6-8 weeks which, in our experience, is a gross understatement.
