FAQs

Our frequently asked questions answered...

Can I build my own hamper?

Yes you can. If you visit the main Hamper page on our website you will see one of the options listed is "Build Your Own". All individual items are then categorised into Large, Medium and Small and you have to select at least 5 items. I would recommend one large, two medium and two small - but it's entirely up to you!

A hamper gift box will appear in your basket automatically with a starting price of £10. That covers the cost of the hamper box and a cardboard mailing box to protect it in transit (as well as the recycled filler paper to protect the items).

Please note the items need to fit into existing hamper boxes so we may not be able to accommodate multiple large items. We will always do our best and will be in touch with an alternative option if necessary.

Is there a hamper for both parents?

Yes - that's why we created Double Daze. We know that both partners matter in this journey and want to ensure they both feel seen. They are also fully inclusive and the wooden decision coin, included in this hamper, reads "Your Turn" and "My Turn" avoiding use of "Mum" or "Dad".

Can I send a gift card?

Yes we have digital gift vouchers available in denominations of £50 from £50 - £200. You can have it sent directly to the email address of the recipient on an exact date. You could send it on their due date, or the date you know they're due home from hospital - or just as a special Birthday/Christmas present. Whatever feels right!

Can I have the hamper sent directly to the recipient?

Absolutely. The hamper box comes in a recyclable mailing box to protect the gift box and we can send it to you or straight to the recipient with a handwritten note. We currently only post within the UK.

Can I have the hamper sent to me, rather than the recipient?

Absolutely. If the postage and billing addresses are the same then we’ll include a blank gift card for you to write your own message. The hamper box comes in a recyclable mailing box to protect the gift box. We currently only post within the UK.

What courier do you use?

We post first class Royal Mail which tends to take 24-48 hours to arrive. If you order before 4PM we will always attempt to get it to the post office the same day. It's currently a fixed price of £9.35 but we are aiming to reduce that as order volumes increase.

Can I reschedule a delivery?

No. Once you have received an "Shipping Confirmation" email from us (please check your spam folder just in case) then it is on it's way and cannot be changed. We would always recommend waiting until parents and baby/babies are home before placing an order.

Can I add my own items?

We can arrange to post the hamper to you so you can gift it to the recipient personally. The magnetic close hamper box comes in a recyclable mailing box so you can add items. However, if you’re ordering one of our larger item hampers there will be limited space. At checkout, put your address for delivery and billing and we’ll include a blank gift card for you to write your own personal message too.

We are unable to receive items for us to include prior to posting at this stage.

I have ideas for other items you don’t seem to have in your hampers. How can I share this with you?

YAY! We’re always desperate to learn about items that could benefit new parents and would love to hear your ideas. Email hello@earlydazehampers.co.uk or complete our contact us form and we’ll add it to our ideas pot!

Can I include a message for the recipient?

Absolutely. All our hampers come with a handwritten gift card. You’ll be asked to provide your message at checkout. If you leave this blank AND request to have the hamper sent to you, we’ll include a blank gift card so you can write your own message.

What if there’s a faulty item?

We will absolutely swap this for the recipient as long as it’s within 6 months of receipt and under the terms of our refund policy. They can email hello@earlydazehampers.co.uk, send us photos and a description of the faulty item and we’ll replace it ASAP. If we can't, we will happily swap it for an alternative item of equal value or refund you for the cost of the item.

What’s “Postpartum”?

You might have heard of “post-natal”. That’s the period of time after the birth and generally refers to the care and well-being of the baby/babies. Postpartum is the journey a new parent goes through while (potentially) healing from birth and caring for a newborn. We’re trying to make it part of the conversation as the internet will tell you recovery takes 6-8 weeks which, in our experience, is a gross understatement.
